Work Load
So I was thinking about all the projects I’ve placed on myself. All the little things that I’ve agreed to do that have piled up over the past couple years.
I’ve got a new High School alumni site that’s about 90% done.
I’ve got a new Neighborhood site for my community (but no one is giving me info to put on it)
I’ve got this personal site that I want to keep active.
I’ve got my companies Intranet site to keep updated (but no one is giving me info to put on it)
And most recently, I took on the task of creating a web based application for scheduling my office’s manpower.
So… needless to say, I’m buried to the eyeballs
Thankfully, I enjoy doing this kind of work… and sometimes one project helps another. Today I learned how to setup a PHP page to edit database entries. That was something I was doing in the scheduling program, but it also is something I needed for the Alumni website.
I just need a good week of no interruptions and I’d be able to finish the majority of the work. The problem is… I’m not good at ducking interruptions. They seem to hunt me down and find me all the time.
Anyway, these are just the thoughts going through my head today. Now, back to work.
