I just gave birth to a new comic strip. I’m so proud! And I for one think it’s kind of funny.

So, it’s 7PM on Friday, and I’m just about to leave work. I had to stay to install some software, that ends up giving me issues. You see, if I install version 9.0 of the product, it breaks version 8.1. But most of the people in my office still NEED 8.1 for ongoing projects. It’s not like we’re going to stop the entire company and upgrade our projects to the new build. That’s just CRAZY talk

So… needless to say… it’s been a long week, and it looks like it’s going to be a long weekend too. I’ve got a lot of things on my own list to do, and I’m sure that Heather has plenty more to add.

So tonight, I think we’re just going to have a relaxing evening… if Caleb will cooperate.

Oh, and here’s some big news that I haven’t posted here yet (I don’t think)… I have GRASS! Yes that’s right folks, I no longer am mowing 50% weeds and 50% dirt. I have pretty green grass growning. At least in the front yard. The back yard is a jungle right now. I’m kind of scared of what’s been growing back there. I’m a big guy, but I have a feeling there are some things, deep in the weeds, that could take me if they wanted. Scary thoughts.

So, not much going on in our lives. Things keep slowly changing for the better, but it’s at real life pace… which means that I never think to post it.

Caleb is crawling full speed now. He’s also standing on his own, including letting go and balancing for short periods of time. I’m guessing that walking is less than a month away.

Because of that, this weekend is officially Baby Proofing Weekend 06′!

It’s amazing how quickly Caleb’s interests have focuses on cabinet doors and electrical cords.

I really hadn’t expected it this quickly. (I have a feeling I’ll be saying that a lot over the next couple months.

One thing that I’m really bothered by is my lack of videoing. We’ve been pretty good about taking pictures on a semi-regular basis… but the video camera hasn’t come out much. Now…to my defense… up till now all that we’d have recorded is Caleb sitting in one spot or another. Now that he’s mobile, I have a greater desire to get things on film.

I think I’m going to try to post smaller posts more often… so I’ll close this one out. That way there’s less pressure to come up with “blogging greatness” next time.
