First off – Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers over the past week. It was a comfort to know that so many people were caring for us.
Now for the official update. Caleb was in the hospital from Thursday morning until Sunday at 4 PM. The official diagnosis was Rotavirus, a pretty nasty bug. He was on an IV the entire time to keep him hydrated. He’s back to his old self again, and has even improved his skills of standing and rolling over. No crawling yet, but we can tell it’s just a matter of days.
Once we got home, Heather came down with similar symptoms and has been slowly recovering over the past couple days. Hopefully she’ll be back to full strength soon. Caleb has gone back to his daycare, so she should be able to get some rest today.
I’ve been doing alright, but am very tired. It’s amazing how these kind of things take so much out of you… even when you don’t get sick.
Hopefully my witty banter will return in the next few posts. I appologize for the seriousness lately. And as always, keep checking in for the next comic… really… it does exist!!
Oh, and finally… a big thank you to everyone who has helped in one way or another. We are so blessed to have such great friends and family.
