Hey there! Welcome to the new year. This looks to be the best year ever for us. So many cool things are going to happen for us this year, both as parents and in general. But it won’t all be roses of course. 2006 is the year I turn 30! I will officially be OLD (at least by teenage standards).
It’s amazing how differently everyone reacts to January 1st. Some people reflect on the year that has just past… some look toward the things to come in the new year… some drop giant chicken nuggets from the sky. Whatever you did, I hope you enjoyed it. We drove back from Dublin, Georgia (passing the giant nugget on the way) and got home around 11 PM. We watched the ball drop on TV and went to bed soon after. I hope reading about our evening didn’t get you too excited. I know it was a bit extreme!
So, today I’m back at work and have tons to do. I’ll be sure to continue to update you on events as they happen though. Right now, I’ll be walking over to my bosses desk and showing him my “outstanding issues” list… also known as a to-do list. It’s corporate America… you have to make things sound more than they are if you want them taken seriously. After that, maybe I’ll actually get some of those issues off that list.
Oh, pictures of Caleb will be going up during lunch (if I have anything to say about it). The comic will still have to wait though. I wasn’t at all happy with the scan I was getting… so I’ll try again tonight.
